We are proud to celebrate Mary Claiborne, a member of the environmental services team as a quarterly Ceca Foundation Award Winner for 2025 and an exceptional member of the team at The Virginia Home.
Yesterday, we had to send resident out for emergency care. She was on precautions for several days prior to going out. I asked housekeeping if they would deep clean her room. This housekeeper did an excellent job. While I was not actually watching her, I did notice how she cleaned the room, washed down the bed, the tabletops, the floor, made the bed up and cleaned “high” touched areas. Kudos to her for doing an excellent job in helping to keep the residents and staff safe.
She has been nominated at least 3 other times in the past with commendations for her kindness, professionalism, empathy, and love for the residents.
